Founder’s Bio

Matt Moses is the Founder of Mimeos Sustainability Consultants, a company dedicated to designing & installing solar energy systems. Mimeos engages in a unique community approach in order to make solar affordable for as many homeowners and businesses as possible, while providing a more integrated offering through Efficiency Consulting and Education programs.

Most of all Matt has been on a mission to make the solar and sustainability process informative, exciting, affordable, and empowering. Mimeos focuses on the important role of guiding friends, neighbors, and communities through what sustainable solutions are out there, exactly how they work, and how much they cost so they make the decision whether it’s right for them.

Matt is a USGBC LEED Accredited Professional, member of the Silver Lake Chamber of Commerce, and is active in the Los Angeles community as a resource for sustainable living. He received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Molecular Biology with Distinction from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Matt began his efforts in sustainability years ago when he began to look for better ways to re-build his own home. He began with installing a solar energy system, yet found the process less than empowering. His experience trying to find an installer, the lack of communication, and the subpar customer service and follow up made him realize that the entire experience could be made magnitudes better. An effort that plays such an integral part in a clean energy solution deserved better. He continued to lead his own building projects and investigated nearly every “green” solution that could be integrated, with a specific eye on what solutions made a lot of sense, and which ones were still cost prohibitive. This led to his mission to help others with this sometimes overwhelming process. Each of us is unique and lives a particular lifestyle. What’s most important is helping to find the solutions that are right for each of us.
